Next-Generation 9-1-1 “NG911” enhances emergency number services by creating an interconnected system between various 911 services and allows digital information , such as voice, photos, videos, and text messages to flow effortlessly from the public to the 911 center. With the implementation of Emergency Services IP Network “ESINET” technology, 911 calls won’t be misrouted to an incorrect 911 center and communications between other Public Safety Answering Points will be much more seamless. The delivery of the 911 calls will no longer be reliant on legacy analog technology and callers’ location information will be more accurate.
